The BNED Revenue & Product Development organization is responsible for supporting the business segments through the development, management and go-to-market execution of world-class, demand-driven products and services. The Director, Program Management is a critical new role in helping BNED transform into a true “digital-first” organization. This role will own the end-to-end coordination and execution of the BNED strategic roadmap and will work closely with the product, technology and business teams on each product offering; driving the sequencing and go-to-market planning across multiple product lines and releases.


  • Leads and supports large-scale projects incorporating a proactive and innovative solution to addressing business challenges and achieving organizational goals and objectives

  • Provides the processes, structures and tools for individual program/project management across product lines and business units

  • Seeks out synergies across the businesses; establishes shared infrastructures, common systems and use of technology to support business processes

  • Facilitates the setting of timelines, dashboards and financial benchmarks for each initiative to keep executive leaders current on progress and potential red flags

  • Ensures organizational alignment in the design and execution of initiatives

  • Responsible for improving operational efficiency, formulating policies and strategic plans for future growth

  • Day-to-day management of operational details to ensure information flow and internal resources are appropriate and internal/external stakeholders are managed accordingly

  • Serves as lead for cross department communications, data analytics and reporting, monthly goal tracking and the development of quarterly/annual communications


  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in digital program management/project management/operations, MBA preferred, though not required

  • Proven track record in helping launch successful software products/features

  • Dynamic, innovative leader in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working directly across multiple stakeholder types of various cultural & organizational backgrounds.

  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment and strong EQ and ability to partner with various constituents inside and outside the organization

  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a focus on emerging trends, technology and features

  • Strong work ethic, self-starting personality with the ability to problem solve and develop creative solutions
